| Meet Dr. Mallonee and
his staff...
William
M. Mallonee, MD
Dr. Mallonee was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He
completed his formal education at the University of Oklahoma College of
Medicine and Neurology residency in 1986. Dr. Mallonee joined the
Hutchinson Clinic in 1986.
His professional interests include all aspects of neurology with
emphasis on Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, migraines, seizure disorders,
Parkinsons' disease and Alzheimers' disease.
He has served on the Board of Directors at the Hutchinson Clinic, as
well as the Executive Committee at Hutchinson Hospital. He is
Chairman of the Quality Improvement Committee at the hospital and a
member of the Bioethics Committee.
Dr. Mallonee serves as Medical Director of the Hereditary
Neurological Disease Centre in Wichita, Kansas, specializing in
Huntington's disease research and treatment. He is also a member
of the Huntington's Study Group which is a world wide consortium of
physicians and scientists dedicated to research and treatment for
Huntington's disease.
Dr. Mallonee is married. He and his wife have enjoyed the
privilege of raising three daughters. He enjoys travel, music,
golf, tennis, anything to do with OU and his family.

Brenda Morrell, RN
Brenda was born and raised in Partridge, Kansas. She is a
graduate of Wichita State University where she received her Bachelor or
Science degree in nursing and became a registered nurse in July
1976. She had worked in surgery and obstetrics/gynecology prior to
joining Dr. Mallonee's practice in 1988. Her professional
interests include multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease, but she
also enjoys the hands on practice of nursing and teaching.
Brenda is involved as a nurse on the medical staff at the Hereditary
Neurological Disease Center where she participates in Huntington disease
research and care. She also assists Dr. Mallonee in the Muscular
Dystrophy clinic and his care of ALS patients.
Brenda has had the honor of traveling to meetings and conferences
pertaining to neuroscience matters to further her educational base.
Brenda lives in Pretty Prairie, and enjoys spending time with her
family, fishing, relaxing, running and living in the country. She
and her husband, Steve, have two boys, Mike and Bill. |
Karen Miller, LPN
Karen is a native of northern Indiana. She was born and raised in
Goshen, Indiana; and educated at Glen Oaks Community College in
Centreville, Michigan. She received her LPN certification in 1975.
Karen has worked in hospitals in Goshen, Indiana and London, Ohio
before moving to Kansas in 1981. She was a charge nurse at Mennonite
Manor prior to joining Dr. Mallonee's neurology practice in 1993.
Beyond her nursing duties, Karen has been involved in research in
Huntington disease and serves as a nurse at the Hereditary Neurological
Disease Center and at the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic in Wichita,
Kansas. She also has had additional training and competency in
electrophysiologic testing with Dr. Mallonee.
Her areas of interest include Alzheimer disease, seizure disorders,
Parkinson disease and Multiple Sclerosis. She has traveled
extensively to meetings and educational conferences to further her
knowledge base in neurological matters.
Karen's life outside of the office involves her church, her family and
friends. She and her husband, Glenn, have three children and two
grandchildren. |
