Cosmetic Treatments

 

The following products and treatments are now available thru the Hutchinson Clinic Dermatology Department!

 

M.D. Forte Skin Care Products

Sold only in Dermatology Offices (non-prescription)

Complete line of cleansers, moisturizers, eye creams, and after laser care.  Contains glycolic acid to strip away dead surface skin.

 

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion will treat fine lines, control acne, minimize the appearance of scars, improve large pores, and tighten skin.

  • For best results, 4-6 treatments, 2-3 weeks apart
  • No down time (lunchtime peel, parisianne peel)

 

Hair Removal Laser (LightSheer)

Treat any area--lip, face, underarms, bikini line, legs and back.

  • Permanent hair reduction requires 3-5 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart
  • Anesthetic gel and cooling laser tip causes minimal discomfort
  • Dark, thicker hair responds best
  • Less effective for blond hair and "peach fuzz"

 

BOTOX (For Upper Face Lines)

Injections into muscles that cause deep lines-minimal pain.  Works for lines made worse by muscle contraction like frown lines between eyes, crows feet, and forehead lines.

  • Requires a repeat procedure after 3-4 months
  • Effective in a couple days

 

IPL (Intensed Pulsed Light) System-Quantum SR

Facial rejuvenation-tightening skin by stimulating collagen, improving fine lines and uneven pigmentation.  (brown spots, red spots, and blood vessels (facial redness).

  • Improvement with each treatment, best results with 3-5 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart
  • Anesthetic gel to minimize discomfort

 

Sclerotherapy (spider veins)

Inject concentrated saline into visible leg veins.

  • Requires several weeks for complete results (bruising to resolve)
  • Minimal discomfort during procedure
