Physical
Capacity Profile Testing System
The
Hutchinson Clinic Physical Therapy Department houses the Physical Capacity
Profile Testing System that is designed to help reduce workers compensation
costs. This system objectively measures an employee's strength capability
allowing the employer to place the employee in a position that matches their
strength capability, thus reducing the potential for work related injury.
This
system is also effective in establishing a baseline strength capacity for the
employee. By establishing a baseline, the employer can identify any
pre-existing conditions prior to employment. (K.S.A. (1993 Supp.) 4-501
(c). Quote). Therefore, by identifying pre-existing conditions workers
compensation costs can be reduced.
