Physical Therapy
The Physical Therapy Department at the Hutchinson Clinic treats clients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and neurological conditions upon physician referral. The department also accepts referral from non-Clinic physicians. The department is staffed by three full time Physical Therapists, Mark Hall, Kim Dillard and Justina Kostner, a Physical Therapy Assistant, and an Athletic Trainer.
Treatment programs are developed in consultation with physicians and may include physical modalities, therapeutic exercise instruction, work reconditioning programs, hydrotherapy, and home exercise instruction. The department equipment includes Cybex strengthening and aerobic conditioning equipment, as well as physical modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, traction, electrical stimulation, and massage.
The Physical Therapy Department also houses the Physical Capacity Profile Testing System that is designed to help reduce workers compensation costs. This system measures an employee's strength capability allowing the employer to place the employee in a position that matches their strength capabilities, thus reducing the potential for injury.
Physical Therapy plays an active role in the rehabilitation of individuals with pain and disability in reaching optimal levels of function.
Please feel free to call Mark Hall or Kim Dillard at 620-669-2622 if you have questions about Physical Therapy.
