Liotta, Professional Therapy Dog

A message from Liotta…

Hello! My name is Liotta and I am an English Labrador. I am so excited to be a part of the pediatric team at The Hutchinson Clinic. I am a certified Assistance Dog who has spend a lot of time training to help people JUST LIKE YOU! I love to give snuggles and to be pet!

I was born on October 10th, 2022 in Concordia Kansas. I have spent over 3000 hours in training, that’s A LOT of training! All the dogs that have gone through CARE training work to help people in many different ways. We have assistance dogs in 48 states. I love kids and am so happy that I will get to see you again soon!

About Liotta

Liotta is a certified Assistance Dog who lives with Dr. Michael Little and his family. She has been specifically selected, trained and certified to provide comfort to children who are going through difficult situations, medical procedures, trauma, anxiety, or grief. Liotta has passed the Public Access and Skills tests prescribed by CARES, Inc. as applicable to the state laws of Kansas and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Liotta works with Dr. Little as a Professional Therapy Dog for the pediatric department at The Hutchinson Clinic. Liotta’s mom passed away shortly after giving birth so she had to be placed with a new dog mommy during her first weeks of life. Liotta gets her name from a famous actor who was also adopted as a young child. Liotta was financially supported by the Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation.
