Clinical Interests: Dr. Kathlyn Zhuang earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis. Throughout her training, she has cared for a diverse group of patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Zhuang chose Internal Medicine because she enjoys caring for the whole person and building long-term relationships with her patients. She is especially passionate about preventive care, women’s health, and helping patients manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Her care philosophy begins with listening—understanding each patient’s unique story and working together to create practical, personalized care plans.
Having lived throughout Kansas for much of her life and previously worked in Hutchinson before medical school, Dr. Zhuang developed a deep appreciation for the community and its close-knit, welcoming character. Returning to Hutchinson as a physician feels like coming home, and she is grateful for the opportunity to care for the community that made such a lasting impression on her.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Zhuang enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her cat, reading, and exploring local activities and attractions with her son.
