What treatment options are available?
Contoura offers three treatment options to meet your needs: BodyFX, MiniFX and Plus.
BodyFX and MiniFX use radiofrequency to tackle fatty tissue to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The Plus treatment uses thermal energy to provide advanced body contouring and targeted skin tightening all over – resulting in improved skin tone, texture and wrinkles for smoother, more defined skin.
What areas do they treat?
BodyFX address problematic fatty tissue in larger body areas such as the abdomen, back (flanks), and thighs. MiniFX uses the same technology as BodyFX but is used to target smaller problematic areas, such as your neck, arms and knees.
Plus offers a wide variety of treatment areas, most commonly areas impacted by weight gain/loss or typical gaining. These can include abdomen, love handles or muffin top, thighs, buttocks, back, hips, under arms and legs.
How long does a session take?
Each treatment takes about 30 mins per target area – think of one area as the size of a palm.
Who is eligible?
Each treatment is safe and effective for all ages and body types.
While Contoura does not have a particular age restriction, skin will be assessed for resiliency in older patients, and younger cases may be up to office discretion.
When will I see my results? And how long will they last?
Many patients start to see improvements after the first few sessions! Maximum results are gradually achieved within 3-4 months after completion of the eight weeks of sessions. Results may need maintenance every 1-3 months.

Is this a safe treatment?
Yes. Contoura uses thermal temperature monitoring, which allows for ongoing and accurate readings that are constantly monitored during the treatment to ensure safety.
Does it hurt?
Most users find BodyFX and MiniFX comfortable. During the treatment, you can expect a warming of your skin and a gentle pulling sensation as the radiofrequency and vacuum work to smooth out target areas. Plus is described as feeling like a hot stone massage – it is essentially painless, and you may see slight redness in the treated areas, which will lessen within a few hours.
How many sessions are required?
It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over an eight-week period. The skin’s surface will feel softer and smoother immediately, and gradual improvements in treatment areas can be seen following the first few treatments!
What is the post procedure care?
That is one of the greatest benefits – there is absolutely no downtime! You can return to your daily activities immediately after treatment.
